Husband, dad of three, and someone who realised there was a smarter way to do the thing our family already loved — travel.
I'm a husband and parent to three children — two boys and a girl — and like most families, we love getting away whenever we can. Travel has always been important to us, whether that's a bigger overseas trip or something simpler like camping closer to home.
Before having children, we spent time travelling more freely, including extended trips where we could really slow down and explore. Once school starts, travel naturally changes — timings become fixed, costs rise, and planning becomes more important.
Over time, I realised that although we were booking travel regularly, I didn't really understand how the booking side worked behind the scenes. I started learning more about how travel is priced, how support and protection differ, and why some bookings feel easier than others.
This changed the way we approached travel — helping our budget stretch further, making planning feel less stressful, and giving us more confidence in the choices we made.
If you love travel, enjoy planning trips, or simply want more clarity and reassurance when booking for yourself or your family, this is the kind of information I wish I'd had earlier.
That's why I like sharing it with others — so they can decide whether it's useful for them too.
